Can we apply Bricks Talk in areas other than counseling?

Yes. Bricks Talk is a preset protocol which aims facilitate the expression of ideas and promote communication. Brick Talks can be applied to various aspects such as job interviews, team building, talent managements, etc. as long as the practitioner is able to follow the protocol.

Participants ask to keep their model and bring it home, what should I do?

It happens and there is no simple answer to this question. However, the practitioner shall also analysis the pros and cons for such action in terms of resource management, therapeutic process and impact to the rest of the participants. We normally encourage participants to take pictures with the model built as a memorabilia and not taking the actual product away unless it is a planned action with therapeutic element. 

How many sessions would Bricks Talk intervention group last? 

Typically, we will apply Bricks Talk technique for about two or three sessions. It is because the participants may be fatigue with the repeated process and long waiting time during the sharing. However, with proper energizers and interval, you can always repeat using Bricks talk in the group.

What is the youngest age of applying Bricks Talk?

We do not have a definite age range set for the protocol. Yet few factors you should consider when making the decision such as the cognitive functioning of the target participants. It might not be suitable for participants with limited verbal and social communication function or limited intelligence. You may also need to assess the risk of choking hazard for young participants.

Where can I buy brick materials for Brick-Talk sessions?

You can purchase the basic set as well as the special set through The Brick-Talk accreditation organization. The special set are designed for different counseling topics and the organization has assorted different special brick parts in the set. The special set COUND NOT be bought in general toy stores.
If you wish to customize your own set, you can find different brick materials in toy stores and online stores. 

What can I do if I fail the accreditation test?

The accreditation test result is announced with an observation note. You may review and practice more with your peers. You can also consider applying the supervision service which the Brick Talk Champion would demonstrate and review the process with you. You are allowed, within the 2-years of time range upon the course graduation, to submit another video for accreditation upon a reasonable charge. 

Can I train new facilitators once I have completed the Brick-Talk Level I training course?

No. Based on the Terms of Use Agreement, you are not allowed to deliver train-the-trainer courses with Level I accreditation. If you would like become a trainer of Brick-Talk facilitator, please contact the accreditation organization for further information.
